Siyu Liu, an architect and artist specialising in crafts and applied arts, her practice blends tradition and modernity to explore cultural exchange, technique and memory.
Born in Guizhou (China, 1993) and based in Barcelona, she works with traditional weaving techniques combined with materials, such as porcelain, to construct narratives around identity and personal memory.
Trained at Qingdao University of Technology and with two master's degrees from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), she has exhibited internationally in cities such as Shanghai, London, Milan and Barcelona. She has been a finalist in the Talente 2024 programme and has participated in various artist residencies.
